By the time I was 13, I started to think that it was silly to “dress” for bed. Up until then, I would always strip down and put on pajamas – a shirt and pants. At first, I left the shirt off and that felt great. Eventually, I just didn’t put anything on at all. Sometimes I’d just wear my briefs, but most times, I’d strip down to nothing and pile into bed. Instead, spiders find a safe space and rest. They dont close their eyes (because they cant) and they sit there, while they rest. They lower their metabolic rate and conserve wnergy by barely moving.
You’re going to spend your entire life being told you need to be insecure about your body. Save the angst for later when you’re losing your hair or getting dietary feedback from your doctor. If you prefer to sleep shirtless there is nothing wrong with that. Go nuts. It feels awesometo do. Try it yourself. It vetter for blood circulation. And sleeping without shirt (or nude) relaxes the body as the fabrics die not tighten around you. I’ve never been comfortable wearing underwear when I sleep. I realize that many people do wear underwear so please— if anyone reading this actually prefers wearing underwear to bed, please don’t feel the need to add a comment telling me that you prefer to sleep in underwear. Pretty quickly after that I realized wearing the bottom was pretty stupid also.
